Faces of W4W

Working for Working is made up a dedicated group of talented college students who strive to improve the city! Each year, Working for Worcester recruits approximately 15 upperclassmen students and three first-year interns.

Christos Papavassiliou

Co-Director of Digital Operations/Fundraising

Christos Papavassiliou is a junior at the College of the Holy Cross. He is from Wellesley, MA and is a Psychology Major on the Pre-Med track. This is his third year on the Working for Worcester Team. Working for Worcester has allowed him to truly recognize the impact of the work each year. He looks forward to an even more impactful year and working with the team!

Luke is a junior at Holy Cross and is from Westport, MA. He is pursuing a double major in History & Political Science. This is his third year working for W4W and first on the managing board. He is committed to impacting the community of Worcester is excited to see how we transform our sites this year!

Owen is a freshman at the College of the Holy Cross and is a native of Shrewsbury, MA. He is pursuing a degree in economics. Owen’s sister and cousin have both participated in Working for Worcester and he is excited to follow in their footsteps and give back to the greater Worcester community!
Sean Baker

Co-Director of Digital Ops & Grant Coordinator

Sean is a junior at the College of the Holy Cross and is a native of Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He is currently pursuing a degree in mathematics and hopes to attend a graduate school for math. Sean joined Working for Worcester in Year 13 as the Co-Director of Digital Operations and Grant Coordinator. Sean is very excited to have an impact on the greater Worcester community!
Devin Phillips

Director of Community Outreach

Devin is a junior at Holy Cross and is from Raleigh, North Carolina. He is currently a History major and an environmental studies minor. He joined Working for Worcester this year and was an intern last year. He is now the Director of Community Outreach. He is very excited for this year and can't wait to the most work he can in the Worcester area.
Michael Daly

Michael Daly

Co-Director of Site Development

Mike is a senior at Holy Cross and is from Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He is pursuing a double major in Psychology and Economics, and does research in the Psychology department. Mike joined Working for Worcester during his sophomore year as a Site Manager at Major Taylor. He is so excited to give back to the community of Worcester and for Build Day in Year 13!

Co-Director of Volunteer Recruitment

Stephen is a junior at the College of the Holy Cross and is from Astoria, New York. He is currently pursuing a degree in Biology and hopes to attend medical school. Stephen joined Working for Worcester last year as a site manager at City View. He is excited to give back to the community and is committed to making Year 13 great!

Grace is a Senior at Holy Cross and is from Canton, MA. She is pursuing a Biology major with hopes to attend PA school post-grad. Grace joined Working for Worcester freshman year as a volunteer and has worked as a Site Manager since. She is excited to be apart of the Working for Worcester team and to participate in Year 13 Build day!
Antonia Melendez

Antonia is a sophomore at Holy Cross and is from Worcester, MA. She is majoring in International Studies with a concentration in Peace and Conflict Studies and hopes to go to law school. Antonia joined Working for Worcester her freshman year as an intern. This year, she is the Co-Director of site development. As a Worcester native, she is excited to give back to the community she grew up in!

Peter is a Third-Year Student at The College of The Holy Cross from Worcester. He is on the Pre-Law track and majors in Classical Studies. Peter approaches his fourth year with Working for Worcester (third on the team) with great excitement and the same passion and commitment to bettering the Worcester community that brought him to the organization.

Andrew is a sophomore pursuing an economics major at the College of the Holy Cross. He was born here in Worcester before moving to Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Andrew is eager to return to Working for Worcester for his second year. He looks forward to helping give back to Worcester throughout the months leading up to Build Day with this years Working for Worcester team!

Judy is a freshman at the College of the Holy Cross and is a native of Shrewsbury, MA. She hopes to pursue a degree in economics throughout her four years at the College. Judy is excited to be able to give back to the greater Worcester community as she joins the Working for Worcester team as an intern!

Abby is a junior at Holy Cross from Long Island, NY, pursuing a major in Psychology on the pre-med track. She joined Working for Worcester in her sophomore year as part of the inventory and purchasing team and is now working in community outreach. Abby is passionate about giving back to the Worcester community and is excited to see the impact this year’s team will make!

Sam is a junior at Holy Cross and is from Trumbull, CT. She is pursuing a double major in Economics and Neuroscience. Sam joined Working for Worcester in Year 13 after participating in Build Day as a volunteer in year 12. She is excited to contribute to the meaningful work Working for Worcester does each year and is excited to see the impact of Year 13!

Sam is a junior at the College of the Holy Cross. He is a neuroscience major. He grew up in Oxford Massachusetts and has been in and around the Worcester area his whole life. He has been a part of Working for Worcester since high school and is looking forward to fulfilling his role in sight development and working with the Worcester community!

Tiana is a junior at the College of the Holy Cross and is from Hanover, Massachusetts. She is studying for her degrees in Environmental Studies and Psychology. This is her third year on the Working for Worcester team, two years ago she joined as a freshman intern. She is so excited for the upcoming year and working to help her community, as well as working with this year's team.

Marley joined Working for Worcester’s executive team sophomore year as a Brand Manager! Ellie is a senior at Holy Cross and is from Scituate, MA. She is pursuing a major in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience, and hopes to attend law school after college. Ellie joined Working for Worcester this year and is committed to giving back to the Worcester community, as it has been her favorite place for the past few years!

Maura is a junior at the College of the Holy Cross and is from Cleveland, OH. She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology on the Pre-Medicine track. Maura joined Working for Worcester during her sophomore year as a Co-Director of Events, and is excited to return to her role this year. She loves seeing the impact that our work has on the city of Worcester as a whole, and the joy that we are able to bring to children in Worcester!
